About DANG site

DANG stands for Domino and Notes Guru.  I decided to change the site intent from an unofficial user forum to a site of information.  The domains DANGsite.com, DANGsite.net, and DANGsite.org are partnering with the domains noteshowto.com, dominohowto.com, notrixhowto.com, and notrixguru.com to help form a forum for people to learn more about Lotus Notes / Domino.  Additionally I have partner with a few developers to a website for coding within Lotus Notes/Domino at the domains notescoder.net, notescoder.org, and notescoder.com.  Before you say anything, I do realize that is a lot of web domains, but some started without me and I happen to "inherit" the site.

about the site owner

My alias on the developerWorks: Lotus (a.k.a Notes.Net) is Joe Nelson.  Basically when I was introduced to Lotus Notes, my employer was not to the liking of their employees exposing their name or their employer on the web or any web forum.  So you can probably guess my name is Patrick Corey (if the self domain was an obvious clue). Over the years professionally, though, my employers do not really mind that I have this website.  In fact my last two jobs were secured because of my enthusiasm for the Lotus Notes/Domino product line.

Since my introduction with Lotus Notes in 1995, I have been privilege to work with Lotus professionals (the Cambridge people) to present Midwest seminarsn in Chicago, be a test site (member) of beta programs (remember Lotus Notes Broadcast, Lotus Notes Telephony, Lotus Notes Components, Lotus Notes Reporter, Lotus Notes Chat Server, Domino Fax Server, Domino Linux server, etc), and articles in IT publications.   Additionally, I have been able to work with many Lotus 3rd party companies building solutions with them.  I am, also, known to promote Percussion's Notrix product for putting data into relational databases.  I have use this product since 1997 and have build many corporate solutions.  I have been able to extend many products to leverage the IT infrastructure.  Thus, with these experiences I have been able to draw on some unique ways to make Lotus Notes/Domino work.  My expertise includes administration and application development with the Lotus applicaitons.

A portion of my free time in the last years has included answering emails for other individuals/companies with their problems and/or concerns.  I am going to share the content topics through additional domains which I host websites.

Don't forget to check the latest answers Joe Nelson has posted (or what I posted) on developerWorks: Lotus for the R4/R5 Forum and R6 and R7 Forum.
